Angel White Bib Necklace, Gold Coast.
I purchased this gorgeous angel white bib necklace on the holiday I just came
back from. I went to the Gold Coast, Surders Paradise which is a 1 and a half
hour plane trip from Sydney to Queensland.
As soon as I saw this necklace I had to buy it! I absolutely love the colour white
and the design. I thought to myself, I think my readers deserve a little present, so
I bought another one and here I am now doing a giveaway for you =)

Well, I’m glad this time I made the effort for this one. It is totally worth it.
It took me a few days to unwind and loosen up a bit and now I’m completely
relaxed. From now on I promise myself I will go on more holidays!
Why are holidays important?
The Sydney Girls List:
1. Different environment; Being a city girl, I have a routine that I love
because it keeps me sane. But after a while if I don’t have a break from it,
I tend to go a bit insane. We all need a break from the rat-race and need to
change environments every once in a while.
2. Me time; We get so busy in our daily lives, that we forget to leave some
time in the day to just sit and do nothing. We forget what solitude is.
A holiday is an easy way to get away from the distractions and have some
time to reflect.
3. Open your mind; We need to get out of that square we live in to
broaden our mind and learn new things about the world, people, cultures
and lifestyles.
4. Inspiration; No better way to feel fresh and inspired than to take a
holiday. You come back feeling renewed and motivated to do more in life.
5. FUN; I don’t think I need to explain this one
I’m still on holiday! The markets are on tonight, which are my favourite!
When I get back I will do a post on my holiday and what I got up to =)
So when’s yournext holiday?

Cardigan, Kookai. Blouse, Forever New. High waisted metallic jewelled skirt,
Forever New. Shoes, Siren.
These are the photos from yesterday which I promised I would post soon =)
I did an experiment on my hair which turned out quite well thanks to Megans tutorial. I highly recommend you have a look at the tutorial – it’s great! I washed my hair and dried it, twisted my hair in parts and pinned them overnight. In the morning took the pins out and ran my fingers lightly through my hair. And Voila!!!
I’m here now at Surfers Paradise. The flight was steady and short – believe it or not I actually love flying! Looking out the window when we’re above the clouds is breathtaking. The weather here in the Gold Coast is like Sydney at springtime – approx 24 Degrees. I love it! The apartment is also very beautiful, overlooking the ocean. Right now I can hear the waves crashing, it’s so peaceful.
I will keep you all up to date! (Wireless internet here, it’s awesome!)

We also took more photos today which I will definitely upload soon. I am leaving for the Gold Coast, Queensland tomorrow! I’ll be there for a whole 7 days. I’m going to try to take my laptop with me. If I do I will share with you my photos and experiences while I’m there!
I also just want to thank you all for your gorgeous and wonderful comments! I really do appreciate them and love looking at all your blogs!

Open toe ankle boots, Shoe Box. Shorts from yrs ago, Blockout. Tights, ASOS. Belt, Thrifted.
Isn’t it funny how we do this. It’s like we have 1000 different sides to us. Even when dressing. I personally can’t wear to work what I wear on the weekend when having a fun night out.
So I’m not going to hide from you my most fun side. My daring side!!! I guess this is the ‘flapper girl’ in me!

Flapper girls sported a bob cut, loved jazz music and showed a bit of skin. This was the era that skirts were shortened and knees were exposed! Oh NO! How naughty!!! Flappers even powdered or put rouge on their knees to show them off when dancing!!!
How exciting that these women in the 1920′s didn’t care about what the norm was and set a statement, a new style. Fashionable dressing in these times were usually for the rich and because of this new uncomplicated style, all women could embrace it and be ‘fashionable’.
Coco Chanel promoted the styles we associate with flappers and did you know she was the originator of the little black dress?!
I would like to think that I have a little bit of ‘flapper’ in me. A bit naughty and daring!!! haha

This weekend has been lovely so far. It’s winter but doesn’t exactly feel like it. The sun has been crisp and just so beautiful that I couldn’t help going to the park and soaking it all in. I took with me my book of the moment to keep me company – The Wonder Spot by Melissa Bank. If you have any good books you recommend, please let me know. One of my hobbies is reading books – it takes me to another world!!!

I just love the feeling of being in the sun, and can’t wait for my trip next week to the sunny Gold Coast. I will definitely take lots of photos to share with you =)

“May the sun shine all day long, everything go right and nothing wrong. May those you love bring love back to you, and may all the wishes you wish come true!”

Have a wonderful weekend! xxx
