I’ve been extremely fortunate to be a part of the Ben and Jerry’s Flavour Election Campaign. My freezer is now full of various flavours of their delicious ice cream, which they couriered to me so that I could make my verdict. Not a hard job, I can tell you that! Obviously, it’s HALF BAKED! Super duperly yummy!
Ben & Jerry’s are asking Australian ice cream fanatics to vote for their preferred Ben & Jerry’s flavour. Vote for your favourite, for a chance to WinA YEARS SUPPLY here.

Also, don’t miss out on the Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops. The deets are here.

I thought I’d share with you yesterdays work outfit. Grey Suede Boots – Sportsgirl, Suit Pants, Pink Top – Forever New. Brown leather bag, unknown brand/lucky find, is my essential item. It’s got various sized pockets in all the right places.

Grey can look really amazing teamed with the right colours. My favourite combinations are grey/pink, grey/yellow and of course, grey/black. Here in the Southern Hemisphere we’re in Autumn nearing Winter. So it’s time for us to bring out our Greys and Blacks from the back of the wardrobe!

Heaps more photos from Valencia’s trip to Sydney on her blog here. This was the day before I dyed my hair red, with the encouragement of Valencia. We had lots of fun visiting various Sydney city locations. Here we’re going to Manly by Ferry from Circular Quay.

Goals

by Joelyne

GOAL SETTING:

28 March 11

I think setting goals is really important for each person. It means we have some exciting things to look forward to. So that when we accomplish those, we’ve become a better version of ourselves, and feel like we’ve accomplished something. It builds self confidence, and general wellbeing.

It can sometimes be a little scary setting goals. So start with small goals, short term and long term. And once you see those working out, set some huge ones. If we don’t dream, how can we achieve big things?! icon smile Goals

Sell car:
I’ve been wanting to sell my car for quite a while now, and have finally put it up for sale! I received one call about it last night, yay! Hoping that I sell it soon. Now that I have a mortgage, I need all the extra money I can get.

Wiifit: The Wiifit is truly fantastic! I’ve been using it nearly every day to improve my posture, balance and general fitness levels. My Wiifit age is 39 – not impressive. Everyone should exercise, no matter what weight, or size. I might look fit on the outside, but really I’ve got a lot of work to do!

Fruit: I find myself lacking in energy. So instead of huge meals, I’m going to have smaller ones, but more frequently throughout my day. I usually eat well, lots of veggies etc, but rarely ever have fruit. So, I’ve made it my mission, to have at least one fruit a day! I know that sounds cliché ‘”One fruit a day” – but it’s true! This is a great habit to have, and it’s one I need to work on.

Water: Got to keep the fluid levels up! I need to drink more water – but not too much.

Credit Card: My credit card has worked for me for the past 7 years. But now that I have a mortgage, I am finding it hard to keep up. So once I pay it off, it will be – bye bye credit card.

Digital Imaging: I LOVE digital imaging. It’s one of my favourite past times, that I get to use on my blog and have recently been using in my full time job, thanks to my Manager who gives me the opportunity to use and hone my skills. I would love to add to them, and in the process of finding a Digital Imaging course.

Vision Board: The Power of Now, and the Power of Attraction, are two concepts I live by. Which is why I’ve decided to make a vision board for my room, a collage of things I love and want, to attract what I desire in to my life, by purely imagining them.

Update:
Sunday 25 September 11

  • DID SELL CAR
  • DID NOT EXERCISE
  • DID NOT EAT MORE FRUIT
  • DID DRINK MORE WATER EACH DAY
  • DID PAY OFF CREDIT CARD
  • DID NOT FIND DIGITAL IMAGING COURSE CLOSE BY
  • DID MAKE A VISION BOARD FOR MY BEDROOM, AND NEED TO ADD TO IT

So, as you can see, you might not achieve every single goal right away. But you will achieve some, and that will give you confidence to know that you can actually achieve your goals. And then you will have the determination to achieve the ones you couldn’t, or change them so that they will work.

I changed the goals that I couldn’t accomplish, into easier goals. If you successfully achieve an easy goal, it is then easier to reach higher!

My new goals are:

  • EXERCISE FOR 20 MIN TWICE A WEEK – I borrowed an exercise DVD from the library. I’ll let you know how that goes!

  • EAT 1 FRUIT A WEEK, THEN TWO – I’m so bad at eating fruit, but I am determined to make this happen!

  • DO A PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE CLOSE TO HOME, to build on my existing skills.

  • ADD MORE INSPIRATIONAL PHOTOS TO MY TUMBLR, and print some out for my vision board.

  • LEARN TWO NEW RECIPES A MONTH, print them out and stick them in my recipes scrapbook.

P.s. I found this PDF file of ‘how to hit your goals’ from Brittany Lynch‘s Website! Please check it out – it’s basically how I set my goals and achieve them.

Me & Valencia | Manly Beach | Lights stand @ Paddington Markets | @ Opera Bar | Harbour Bridge View | Circular Quay Station
Photos taken by Valencia on her iPhone using the Hipstamatic App.

Valencia and I met via blogging, and when I went to Greece last year, I made sure to stop by Singapore to finally meet and spend time with her – which I blogged about here. There was no awkwardness, or feeling of ‘I don’t know this person’, it just felt like we’ve always been friends. Valencia was a great tour guide of Singapore, and so I when she came to visit me in Sydney last week, I wanted to make her visit as exciting as she made mine.

So I decided to take her to the main hot spots of Sydney…

Some of our itinerary consisted of; ferry to Manly, Manly Beach, Circular Quay, Opera bar, Paddington Markets, Darling Harbour, IVY Bar, Newtown & Pancakes on the Rocks.

MIA

by Joelyne

Sorry guys!!! I’ve been missing in action. My friend Valencia, behind the blog, Roll up your Sleeve, flew all the way from Singapore to visit me. I had the pleasant and fun duty of taking her all over Sydney. From Paddington, to Circular Quay. Basically all the hot spots!

Will put up some photos tonight, so you can see what we got up to!

Wearing gifted Toi Et Moi Dress which I blogged about here.

I had the pleasure of being invited to an exclusive Jewellery Appreciation workshop last Thursday evening, hosted by Lauren, one of the sisters who founded the gorgeous jewellery store, Moi Moi. The workshop was lots of fun and extremely informative.

My favourite fact of the evening;

? Moissanite has more brilliance, fire and lustre than any other jewel – even Diamonds, at a fraction of the cost.

Moi Moi is a beautiful store in Sydney’s prestigious Queen Victoria Building, and specialises in Moissanite.

Learn secrets of the jewellery trade over a glass of bubbly and gorgeous canapes as their complimentary guest! Normally expect to pay $100 per person, right now Moi Moi is inviting groups of 3 to 6 people for absolutely NO charge, and NO obligations.! How awesome is that? Learn what style of jewellery best suits you, how to look for a stone when buying fine jewellery, learn about value and the factors to look for in choosing a diamond and other stones.

Sharing with you some new and some older piccies.

Thought I would include one of my illustrations of the pink bow Dior dress as well. I enjoy being creative with my photos and so I try to add movement, bright colours and emotions to them. I really need to start sketching again!

I love my morning coffee. It makes me so happy.
These shoes are amazingly comfie and one of my favourite wedges. Unfortunately they weren’t as comfortable when I wore them all over Athens, but thanks to that, they’ve been worn in. Made in Brazil with a leather sole, lining and upper. They definitely fit the description of quality shoes.

I thought I would team them up with the scale top because of the similar detail. But you could put these shoes with anything and they’d go well.

The high waist shorts are Fresh Soul, and the crop fish scale top is August Street.
