I love my morning coffee. It makes me so happy.
These shoes are amazingly comfie and one of my favourite wedges. Unfortunately they weren’t as comfortable when I wore them all over Athens, but thanks to that, they’ve been worn in. Made in Brazil with a leather sole, lining and upper. They definitely fit the description of quality shoes.

I thought I would team them up with the scale top because of the similar detail. But you could put these shoes with anything and they’d go well.

The high waist shorts are Fresh Soul, and the crop fish scale top is August Street.

Seeing this belt in my closet makes me miss Greece. I purchased this beauty in Santorini, in one of the cute little boutiques. I have a love for floral beading, and couldn’t part with this gorgeous, detailed piece. I haven’t worn it yet – it deserves to be showed off with the perfect garment, which I haven’t quite found yet.

Here are some more photos from the Nuffnang Sydney Bloggers Meetup at the Lindt Cafe, in Sydneys’ Darling Harbour, which I blogged about here.

The first photo is of Natalie, from Colour du Jour, and myself. She is such a gem! We’ve been to a few events together, and she’s such lovely company! For all the goss and glam from the search for the new face of Colour du Jour, click here!

My bedside table, featuring some of the flowers George surprised me with yesterday, mirror design candle holder, which one of my closest friends Ann gave me, sitting on top of some great books I’m reading. Costume Jewellery, which I blogged about here, Australian Beading Magazine and The Game of Life & How to Play it by Florence Scovel Shinn (1925) – one of the original books about the power of attraction, filled with wisdom and creative insights.

There were so many beautiful labels yesterday at Fashion Exposed, and this was myfavourite. Liberta jewel had some extraordinary costume jewellery pieces out on display, and this one just jumped out at me. It’s one of the most stunning statement pieces I’ve ever seen! I adore the intricate detail of the beading and the various shades of pink.

It’s Autumn in Sydney peoples! And what better way to get clothing inspiration than to admire Australian / Frenchie fashion label, Toi Et Moi’s, Autumn collection on real girls across Sydney and Melbourne.

Toi Et Moi found 20 ‘real’ girls in each city (Sydney & Melbourne) and gave them their own Toi et Moi outfit from the collection. I love how the girls styled up the outfit as if it were their own – adding their own, bag, shoes and accessories.

I can’t wait to add my personal touch of style and spirit, to my very own Toi Et Moi outfit, coming in the mail soon! Yipee!

What I’m Reading

Costume Jewellery – Judith Miller

From when I was three years old, I’ve always loved books. I’d even sleep with them under my pillow. Each page turned is like a new magical world full of colour and excitement. Now that I live so close to my local library, I have the luxury of reading books to my hearts content. This book is one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever come across. It’s filled with the most stunning costume jewellery you’ll ever set your eyes upon.

Some interesting facts from the book:

? Costume jewellery is essentially a 20th-century term for jewellery made from non-precious metals, such as imitation gemstones and faux pearls, set in silver or inexpensive base metals

? The concept of costume jewellery is in fact as old as our most ancient civilizations

? The first jewellery was fashioned from bone, shell, and feathers. Later, clay, natural glass, precious metals, and gemstones were used
