Hi Pretties icon smile How do you colour coordinate an outfit? This is the outfit I wore to the FAMOUS Magazine edit runway show on Saturday. I wanted to wear something bright and colourful. Mixing different colours in your outfit is the way to go these days I believe. There’s something very uplifting about it.

I stumbled across this website about colour coordination, and found some interesting info (below) which could help you pick colours for your outfit – if you’re hoping to colour block, or just contrast two items.

For example, in my outfit, I’m wearing a bright green/yellow cardi, which goes extremely well with the fuschia coloured watch. So basically, the best matches are those opposite each other, and side by side in the colour spectrum.

From Ask Andy about your Clotheswebsite:

  • Complementary colors:

Are those directly opposite one other in the color spectrum or wheel. Blue is opposite of orange so gold, rust, and brown compliment shades of blue.

  • Analogous colors:

Colors, which are next to each other on the color wheel, go well together, such as blue pants, a blue-green shirt and a green jacket.

Do let this inspire you to create your very own colour coordinated outfit!
