Basics I need in my wardrobe

by Joelyne

I’ve been trying to bring more basics to my wardrobe lately, and here are some purchases from the last week. I’ve already worn the Zara blazer a couple of times, and the pink cardi today. I made a list of the essentials I need, to bring with me when shopping, so that I could focus and not get sidetracked! George (my bf) got some basics too, and I might show you some photos I took of him yesterday wearing his new stuff!

So, for you ladies who can’t focus cause there are too many gorgeous things to look at in store, here’s some tips!

1. Make a ‘clothing essentials’ list to bring with you when going shopping e.g. Black boyfriend blazer, Nude heels for work, Colourful cardigans…

2. If you see something else that doesn’t fit the list, take a photo of it with your phone, to keep it in mind for future shopping trips. That way you’re staying focused to spend your money on what you really need, and not buying things on an impulse!

So here’s what I bought!

Revlon & Jane Iredale | Makeup Review

by admin

Gosh I love doing makeup reviews! 1. Cause I love trying new products 2. Cause I enjoy putting makeup on 3. I help you guys make a good decision on purchasing makeup.

This makeup look is from Saturday. I did it especially for you guys – and then went FISHING after. How appropriate right?! A girl can look good going fishing, can’t she?! You know you’ve got it right when your boyfriend says “I like your lipstick! It’s better than all the other lipsticks you put on” And my response “Well, it’s actually a lip stain. And I like it better too!” (I must add, that George is pretty observant when it comes to these things, he’s got 3 older sisters!)

What I’m wearing:

IMG 9762 150x150 Revlon & Jane Iredale | Makeup ReviewJane Iredale Lip Fixation Lip Stain & Gloss in Passion: In the photos, I’m only wearing the lip stain, not the gloss on top as I love the matte look. I am amazed at how long it lasts. After lunch I had to top it up, and that was it. It feels great, and it doesn’t flake. I actually haven’t worn lip stain for years, due to the fact that when I used to, it would come off within a few hours, and would easily get flaky within the hour. I’m not sure what other lip stains these days are like, but this one is incredible. You are going to see a lot of me in this! I have also used the gloss on its own, which is long lasting itself, and very shiny!

IMG 9767 150x150 Revlon & Jane Iredale | Makeup ReviewJane Iredale Tantasia Self Tanner, Auto-Bronzant: When using this, no moisturizer is required. So I’ve been using this instead of moisturiser on my face for the past week. I have a light tan, but feel like my face looks healthier a bit darker (don’t wel all?) and I feel like this is doing the job. I would rather use this than tan from the Sun. From the directions: “Tantasia uses your skin’s natural tanning ability to build radiant, long-lasting colour. Smart sunless technology first senses, then enhances your skin’s most flattering shade.”

IMG 9763 150x150 Revlon & Jane Iredale | Makeup ReviewJane Iredale Pommisst Hydration Spray: This hydrates the skin and sets mineral powders. I spray this on after I have applied my makeup, and in the afternoon as a pick me up! Loving it and smells divine!

IMG 9761 150x150 Revlon & Jane Iredale | Makeup Review Jane Iredale Brunette Bitty Brow Kit: This brow kit include brow powder & wax, which is perfect for me because sometimes the hairs don’t behave and need to be waxed down!

IMG 9771 150x150 Revlon & Jane Iredale | Makeup ReviewRevlon Grow Luscious Mascara and Lash Liner: I have the waterproof and non waterproof mascara & both are a delight to wear. To get the plumped up lashes, it takes a few coats but in the end it looks fabulous. The lash liner I love and tend to use it mostly on the mid to outer corners for the day, like in the photos, to give a natural look. In the evening I go all out! I love how it goes on so smoothly and lasts all day. I’m using brown at the moment. Lashes become sronger with every application even after makeup removal. Revlon New Complexion Foundation: You only need to use a tiny bit, as a bit goes a mighty long way. It evenly spreads and doesn’t leave any residue. Really smooth with a nice matte finish. I wish it were a tiny bit darker for my tanned skin, and with a higher SPF. I have sensitive skin, and this doesn’t irritate it at all, and definitely lasts all day and keeps the oily skin away!

Jane Iredale Australia:

All mineral products, a makeup which is good for the skin.

Viparo + Kobe Husk

by Joelyne

I do enjoy bringing to you the latest in upcoming aussie fashion. Viparo has some beautiful pieces if you love colour and gorgeous fabrics – check it out here. I enjoy dressing up for the camera and putting my makeup on – being creative and piecing it all together. Here I’ve tucked in a sheer top which I can’t remember the brand of, into this beautiful high waisted Viparo skirt. Tucking tops into stuff, skirts, pants & shorts, is probably my most used styling routine.

How To Wear White

by Joelyne

White clothing is one of my favourites. If you want to stand out wear white, if you want to stand out even more, where white from head to toe. Do you love white as much as me? Apart from the fact that you have to be very careful when eating a pasta dish with red sauce! Yep, I’m the culprit. It happened to me! Spilled a whole plate of it on my white pants. Will never forget that one! However, not even that scared me off wearing white. I can’t help it – I like to stand out icon wink How To Wear White

The great thing about white is that it goes with anything. Here are some tips for when wearing white!

  • Keep jewellery & accessories simple
  • Wear it with your summer tan
  • Add a pop of colour somewhere, like bright nails, bag or shoes
  • Wear undergarments close to the colour of your skin tone
  • Don’t wear all white to a wedding

So here I’m wearing Puff Sleeved Chiffon Top (26AUD) from an online store ‘I Wear Sin‘. Also, they have a promotion going on at the moment which you should enter! www.iwearsin.com/voucher
