How I achieve what I want in life!
Do you ever feel like you’re stuck in a rut and need something, just something to get you feeling motivated again?
I feel like that at least once a year, and it’s usually when I haven’t had a proper break from work.I’ve learnt that it’s pretty important to take a break, go away from your usual routine and be somewhere else for a while. I’m feeling like that now, and can’t wait to get away in a few weeks.
What seems to happen, is I lose track of my goals, lack inspiration and need some time away to reflect, be at ease and get in touch with myself again. Sometimes in our busy lifestyle, we don’t make the effort to stop, reflect and unwind.
I’ve just bought a book called ‘Follow your Passion, Find Your Power: Everything You Need to Know about the Law Of Attraction’ by Bob Doyle. I’ve always been a fan of the power of attraction, which I’ve written about several times. I love re-reading books about this phenomenon, as it brings me back to life. It gives me that inspiration I need to set goals again, think positive, and attract everything I desire. It’s worked for me my whole life, so I know it’s 110% full proof.
Things in my life I have achieved, just by believing it was possible (not showing off, just proving that if I can do it, you can too).
- purchased a Peugeot 206cc convertible car when I was younger
- Bought my own apartment, with an ocean view in Sydney – 2010
- Top 10 Fashion bloggers in Australia, rated by Editd in Ragtrader Magazine Oct Issue – 2011
- Created a blog, which is my passion, and I love working on it every. single. day! – created in 2009
- Attended Sydney’s Rosemount Fashion Week – 2011
- Came 3rd runner up in Miss Earth Australia Competition in 2006
- On the Fashion Panel for the Bloggers Relations Forum in Sydney – 2011
- Trip to Greece for 2 months – 2010
- In a relationship with an amazing guy who treats me like a queen! – Since 2009
- Won HP Australia’s Very Important Blogger Competition – 2011
So when I saw this ‘believe’ sign in a local nifty gift store, I had to get it (for myself)!
This is why…
If you believe that what you want in life is possible, and you believe you already have it, your positive energy matches that, and brings more of that in to your life.
What have you achieved in life, by just by believing it was possible?

Aww, I am so proud of you – you have achieved so many amazing things!
I have the same mentality. It starts off with believing in yourself, which is why I have ‘have faith in thyself’ tattooed on my wrist!
Next year is going to be an amazing year for you, I can just feel it!

Waaaou , it’s a very interresting subject and i don’t think i will be able to explain my thoughts on it in english but i think you’re really lucky, because, to really believe in your own possibilities, you must be really self-confident…and that’s unfortunately a big lack for myself i could say…
… i work on it every day and i looooove to read about how other people (like you) consider things like that, it gives me another “look” , a better look on things!

Certainly it came from education, but it’s true that when you don’t have it “naturally” it’s really hard to “access” (gain?) have it after!!
i achieve lots of things in my life but still not believe of my power of self attraction
sorry for the long comment, and please excuse my english!

Hi Poppy! How are you lovely?
Don’t worry about your English! It’s absolutely fine
From reading SO MANY books I have learnt to have more confidence, and the more goals I achieved, the more confident I became.
Have you read The Secret? There’s a video too, and I think you can watch it on YouTube!

Thank you for your indulgence on my spelling! I’ll see if I can find the book you mention, if it inspired you, it can be run as for me
.
In any case, it is true that the good vibes are “infectious” (?? communicative?) , so do not deprive yourself transmitted to us over and over again lol!
Sometimes it is enough to learn how other people work to understand that we can change ourselves so that we seemed complicated!
Thank you and take care of yourself!

WOW! You go girl! So much of you just said I can totally relate to and so admire everything you have done, also for the fact that I too aspire day to day pursuit to better myself but inspired by those who prove that it’s possible, such as yourself
I have had similar experiences such as always dreamed of traveling to europe and buying an apartment, so saved up for over a year whilst in my final year of studies to not only buy an apartment by enough to travel europe for 3 months, which led me to my next all time dream of working/living in NYC and miraculously ended working/living there only a year later which then led to being happily married in the USA and finally started my new blog which I have been meaning to do for the past 3 years haha, hopefully mine can be somewhat successful as yours one day too, so thank u for the inspiration. The only thing is I miss home and family so much, but looking back of how far I have come reminds me of the power of believing and realising it’s possible with persistance and overcoming challenges!
Heres to another year of great successes!

Hey Monica! Wow – you are truly inspiring yourself. Thank you for sharing your journey with me! I love hearing about how others have achieved their goals, and what their dreams consist of. There are some things I don’t have the guts to do, which others successfully do, and I really admire that. Working and living away from home takes so much courage – it’s amazing you did that. I’m so happy for you!
If you really love your blog, and have love to share with others what you are passionate about, it will truly go far!
Yes, here’s to another amazing year of successes for sure!

Love this post Joelyne!
You have achieved some pretty wonderful things in your life.
I am so proud of buying my first apartment, teaching myself how to cook, all my trips around the world, starting my blog, my relationship with my now husband etc.
I have some big plans for 2012 so hopefully this time next year i’ll have a list nearly as big and fantastic as yours.
Merry Christmas!

Your list is already pretty fantastic!!!!! Teaching myself how to cook is up there on my list. I find it hard to get the motivation. I feel a little lost as to preparing to cook a meal – getting all the groceries etc!
I hope your year is amazing, and you achieve everything you want and more!!!!!!

Hi Joelyne!! How are you sweets?
This is a superb post and everyone needs to read it.. thank you for posting it! I truly believe that everyone deserves to be living a meaningful life filled with passion, adventure and happiness. I’ve been doing so myself since 2008 (that’s when I realized that I CAN create the life path I wanted… thanks to Jack Canfield’s book “Getting From Where You Are to Where You Want to Be” ^_^) and haven’t turned back since! I’m glad you’re doing the same and inspiring others as well
