I’m so glad I have found your blog. it is full of sunshiney sparkle and inspiration! My number one rule to live by is “JUST DO IT”, stolen from an old ad campaign, but still great advice.
These are great, I agree 100% with you. For me, I think it is most important to make sure you don’t get caught up in the past, sure learn from the past, but don’t hold grudges or regret what you have done. life is too short. and always remember that what you have now is what you, once upon a time, only ever dreamed of having, when you look at it like this you can appreciate what you have more.
Worry only about the things that are in your control, the things that can be influenced and changed by your actions, not about the things that are beyond your capacity to direct or alter!!
Live each day like it’s your last because one day you will be right…but just in case it’s not remember there may be consequences tomorrow! No one gets out of life alive!
Never choose, boring shoes
No regrets! If I will regret buying it, eating it, drinking it, dating it or doing it – don’t do it!
Taste, try, do it all and more. Life sits still for no one, so live it to the fullest.
Don’t be quick to judge, you don’t know the whole story.
Making the most of every minute, even if you are at work because time flies too quickly. For example, what happened to 2012? I swear it was just Easter a few months ago and now its already 2013!
Grab every opportunity to TRAVEL… You never know when you may no longer be able to!
Try to simplify issues instead of complicating them which might help you solve them more quickly.
Although this is simple, and quite old, I think it’s still one of the most amazing things to remember in life.
“All our dreams can come true- if we have the courage to pursue them” -Walt Disney
A big rule for me to live by now is:
I really believe if I can apply this word to every day life, it will greatly improve! How many of us are now unable to sit and focus on one thing at a time? Constantly checking our phones for emails, facebook, instagram while watching a movie or TV Show. Not really engaging in proper conversations with others as we are too distracted by other things.
This year I want to be better at doing ONE thing, at a time. AND DOING IT WELL.
This in turn I think will really help me achieve all I want to in the next 12 months, and I don’t need to write lists and lists of those things. I know that by focusing on one thing at any one time, I can slowly work my way through everything I hold so dear and passionately.
Here’s to a fabulous stress free and engaging 2013!
I don’t follow no rules ;)
Never underestimate anything or anyone.
‘Do to others what I wish to be done to me’ a simple philosophy that regulates one’s actions and words.
One rule that I live by is a quote from a movie that I watched (corny, I know…) The quote is from ‘We Bought A Zoo’ and is “All you need is 20 seconds of insane courage, and I promise you, something great will come of it” I try to live by this because I know that I am the type of person who is likely to shy away from going for what I want if it means that there is some embarrassment involved. Be it entering a talent competition or telling a guy that I like him.
I try to live by this quote so that I am able to see, that despite what may happen during the process of achieving my goals (and the embarrassment that my ensue), that something great will always come out of it and that it is always worth it to have those 20 seconds of insane courage.
Mine is “Decide that you want it more than you’re afraid of it.”
I read it somewhere and it stuck.
At the time, I was too afraid to drive, which was really difficult as I’m a mum of three.
But that just inspired me. I booked some driving lessons and started learning how to drive. After a few months, I got my licence on my first attempt, just shy of my 33rd birthday!!
My Rule 1: The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.
“If you want to meet hot guys, go out with no make up, don’t wash your hair and wear your baggiest, oldest clothes”. This would happen whenever I went to the laundromatt and I got so sick of becoming embarrassed, that I made more of an effort so I knew I’d stop bumping into them. Murphy’s Law. This also works for chance encounters with your ex.
“Sometimes your the bug and sometimes your the windscreen!”
Love this saying..be balanced in life!
Mine is ‘Be Generous’ with your time, love and forgiveness. It’s so easy, but always forgotten.
I love your outlook and your style is to die for. I think I found a style mentor ;-) lol
