When I was offered the chance to stay in Surry Hills for a night on the weekend, I jumped at the chance. I’ve never really explored Surry Hills, even though ive worked around Central for the last ten years.

We arrived at this cute, modern, hotel in the heart of Surry Hills. Welcomed by home made choccies – YUM!

I relaxed and enjoyed a book, and browsed pinterest with free WIFI ! One evening away from home was the small getaway I needed!

Had my self a small bottle of white wine from the mini bar, and bought some blue cheese from the local Aldi store. There was a small kitchenette, which was pretty handy too.

The hotel seemed like it was recently renovated, but I could be wrong. It had this trendy, new feeling to it.

I always look out for customer service. Checking in and out was a breeze and the staff were very friendly.

Of course, had to take some selfies!

So many awesome restaurants close by. Walked about 10 minutes, and stumbled upon this Jamaican diner & rum bar, Rosie Campbells (320 Crown Street, Surry Hills). Oh my goodness, the food was delicious and so absolutely fresh.

I had coriander cured kingfish, lime juice, coconut cream and fresh mango with a pina colata & Tim had grilled jerk chicken, coconut rice and peas and fresh lime.

Finished with a fun night out in the city.

Special thanks to Cambridge Hotel for hosting me as their guest. As always, the content & opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
